Finance Manager – Dar es Salaam

About the role

CVPeople Tanzania is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to support the CFO and the Corporate Secretariat office. The role is based in Dar es Salaam and focuses on statutory compliance, financial reporting, and smooth operation of the finance function across all branches.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements, tax returns and regulatory filings; oversee external audits.
• Manage accounting systems, ensure data integrity and enforce finance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement in claim payments, expense payments, cash receipts, commission payments, bank reconciliations and work‑in‑progress management.
• Prepare TRA and other statutory returns, ensuring timely submission and full compliance with Tanzanian tax regulations.
• Identify and mitigate departmental risks; manage relationships and budgets with external service providers such as tax advisors, auditors and banks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Insurance, Business Administration or a related field.
• CPA (Tanzania) qualification – mandatory.
• At least 10 years of finance experience, preferably with an audit practice background and experience managing a finance function in a fast‑moving, rapidly growing environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and influencing abilities, strategic thinking and familiarity with Tanzanian tax and reporting requirements.
