Electrical Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The Coordinator Electrical Maintenance will support the Superintendent by leading the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the Process Plant Electrical and Non‑Process Infrastructure (NPI) maintenance team. The role focuses on planning, executing and continuously improving preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities to maximise plant availability.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate visible safety leadership and ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, statutory legislation and electrical safety standards.
• Lead investigations of electrical and NPI incidents, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Plan, prioritize and execute preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance for plant electrical systems, power generation, distribution networks, substations, motors, variable speed drives and protection systems.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyse reliability data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage shutdown planning and execution in collaboration with operations and maintenance planning teams.
• Maintain critical spares inventory and coordinate specialist contractors and vendors.
• Ensure statutory inspections, testing and compliance activities are completed on schedule.
• Support capital improvement and sustaining projects related to electrical and NPI infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a process‑plant or industrial environment.
• Ability to step‑up and lead a maintenance team, including during superintendent absence.
• Strong knowledge of statutory electrical regulations, permit‑to‑work, isolation and lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) procedures.
• Experience coordinating shutdowns and managing specialist contractors.
