Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Mining Finance Leadership

About the role

Shugulika Africa Limited is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of its mining operations in Dar es Salaam. The CFO will partner with the CEO and Board to shape financial strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives, overseeing budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with Tanzanian regulatory bodies, including the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, liquidity and funding strategies while identifying and mitigating financial risks.
• Lead finance, accounting, procurement and related support teams, overseeing asset management and advising on investment opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Prior experience in mining, industrial or similar sectors is strongly preferred.
