Chartered Accountant – Finance Transformation Lead

About the role

Our client, a leading player in transport, logistics and infrastructure, is seeking a Chartered Accountant to lead finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. This senior, strategic finance role works alongside an established finance team and focuses on project delivery, business partnering and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance process improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, controls and operational excellence.
• Drive finance transformation projects such as ERP implementation, process automation and systems optimisation.
• Program‑manage cross‑functional initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, budget and timelines.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, HR, IT and other functions to identify and implement cost‑optimisation measures.
• Develop financial analyses, business cases and performance insights to support strategic decisions.
• Review and enhance finance processes, governance, policies and internal controls in line with best practices.
• Champion data‑driven decision‑making, digital transformation and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver initiatives that improve business performance and operational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CPA(T), ACCA, ACA, CA or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in finance transformation, business improvement or project management.
• Proven experience leading ERP implementation, finance systems or digital transformation projects.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across multiple business functions.
• Experience in logistics, ports, shipping, infrastructure or other large, asset‑intensive organisations is a plus.
