Assistant SPA Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Assistant SPA Manager will support the SPA Manager in overseeing daily operations of the spa at Iberostar Selection Zanzibar, a 5‑star beachfront resort. This role combines hands‑on service with team leadership to ensure exceptional guest experiences and high operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the SPA Manager in daily department management and assume full operational responsibility in their absence.
• Design, plan and deliver continuous technical and customer‑service training for therapists and reception staff.
• Supervise staff during shifts, ensuring correct execution of treatment protocols, sales targets and service quality.
• Conduct performance evaluations and internal audits to identify improvement and training needs.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and proper provisioning of spa facilities.
• Provide direct guest service, advise on treatments and resolve complaints promptly.
• Drive sales of treatments and products, motivating the team to meet commercial objectives.
• Collaborate on staff scheduling, shift management and attendance control.
• Ensure strict compliance with health regulations and sanitation plans.
