Account Manager – Mid‑Market Business

About the role

The Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing and growing relationships with mid‑level business clients in Tanzania. Acting as the voice of the customer within Airtel Tanzania, you will ensure client satisfaction, drive incremental revenue and manage the delivery of fixed and mobile network services, as well as value‑added solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with current and prospective customers at management level to understand their strategy and business drivers.
• Develop and present road‑maps that lead to the closure of Airtel contracts for network services, solution sets and value‑added services.
• Achieve and exceed account targets through the sale of core and add‑on services, optimizing the portfolio mix.
• Maintain strong relationships and coordinate Airtel executive sponsors for bi‑annual or annual business reviews.
• Analyse competitor activity, identify risks of revenue erosion and propose proactive solutions.
• Map customer requirements to industry trends and position Airtel’s offerings such as NaaS, CPaaS, IoT, Security and Cloud.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of sales and relationship‑management experience with mid‑sized businesses.
• Proficiency in English and Swahili.
• Ability to operate in a performance‑driven environment and meet tight deadlines.
