Project Officer – Implementation (Multiple Vacancies)

About the role

The Project Officer will support the implementation, coordination, and performance management of Raising The Village programmes across several districts in Tanzania. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role works closely with district technical teams, government officials, and community actors to ensure activities align with project designs and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Align government officials’ and Project Assistants’ workplans with approved designs and monitor implementation across assigned clusters.
• Conduct at least three field visits per week to verify activities, provide coaching, and resolve implementation challenges.
• Support district, ward, and village officials in delivering RTV‑aligned training, coaching, and follow‑up activities.
• Review field reports, identify risks, and contribute inputs to weekly, monthly, and donor reports.
• Lead weekly cluster review meetings, provide feedback, and mentor Project Assistants and government extension workers.
• Ensure compliance with RTV policies, safeguarding standards, and assist with administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in project implementation or related field.
• Strong verbal and written English and Kiswahili; knowledge of local dialects (Kinyambo, Kihaya) is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time and physically able to work in rural, high‑terrain environments.
• Ability to ride a motorbike.
