Project Assistant – Implementation (4 positions) – Tanzania

About the role

Raising The Village, an international development organisation focused on eradicating ultra‑poverty in Sub‑Saharan Africa, is hiring four Project Assistants for its implementation team in Tanzania. The role involves supporting community‑based projects across multiple wards in Kyerwa, ensuring effective delivery of training, resources and monitoring activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct project design review meetings with partner villages, provide feedback, and update designs and budgets.
• Co‑facilitate training activities such as financial literacy, water and sanitation, agriculture, livestock care and health outreach.
• Develop and submit procurement lists, verify goods prior to distribution, and manage field reporting.
• Provide follow‑up support to community groups and households to ensure project compliance and continuity.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and contribute to regular performance meetings with leadership and community members.

Required profile

• University degree in Community Development, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Work, Social Administration or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in community development programmes, project management, facilitation or leadership roles.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
