Regional Technical Officer – Community Engagement (HIV)

About the role

The Regional Technical Officer (RTO) for Community Engagement will provide technical and programmatic oversight of community and facility‑based HIV interventions in Morogoro, ensuring linkage to care, ART initiation, retention and re‑engagement of patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and mentorship to community health workers, CHS coordinators and healthcare providers to strengthen referrals, case management and use of national tracking registers.
• Analyze ART retention data, monitor key performance indicators and produce actionable reports for project decision‑making.
• Represent the project in regional and district technical workshops, conduct supportive supervision and ensure compliance with national SOPs and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health, international development or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in community‑based health programming, specifically HIV prevention, care or treatment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Swahili.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and data‑use skills, including interpretation of program data and report preparation.
