About the role
The Heavy Equipment Salesperson will promote and sell construction, mining and industrial machinery to businesses and contractors. This role combines technical knowledge of heavy equipment with strong customer relationship and negotiation skills to achieve sales targets.
Key responsibilities
- Promote and sell heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders and cranes.
- Identify and acquire new customers, generate leads and build long‑term relationships.
- Conduct onsite product demonstrations and explain technical specifications.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Coordinate after‑sales support with service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment maintenance.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate sales records and prepare performance reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Proven experience in heavy equipment or industrial sales.
- Strong technical understanding of machinery specifications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in field environments.
Required skills
- Technical knowledge of construction and mining machinery.
- Proficiency with CRM software.
- Networking with contractors, engineers and procurement managers.
- Problem‑solving to address client concerns.
