Chief of Party – Faith and Community Initiative (FCI)

About the role

The Chief of Party will provide overall leadership and management of the Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) country program in Tanzania, ensuring that program goals, objectives, and results are achieved in a timely and cost‑effective manner.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the FCI Tanzania Country Implementation Plan, translating global guidance into practical strategies, work plans, budgets and performance milestones.
• Contextualise the global FCI model to Tanzania’s health‑system architecture, disease burden, national policies and faith‑based service delivery environment.
• Ensure programme implementation complies with global FCI standards, donor requirements, national policies, World Vision policies and Tanzanian law.
• Maintain the FCI 80/20 efficiency principle, prioritising resources for frontline service delivery while upholding management, safeguarding, compliance and quality assurance.
• Serve as the principal in‑country point of contact for the U.S. Embassy, GHSD team and other partners, and build strong relationships with ministries, health programmes and faith‑based networks.

Required profile

• Proven ability to provide overall leadership and management of a country‑level health program.
• Experience ensuring compliance with donor requirements, national policies and organisational standards.
• Familiarity with Tanzania’s health‑system architecture, disease burden and faith‑based health service delivery.
