Accountant – Automotive Department (Bagamoyo/Dar es Salaam)

About the role

The Accountant will support the automotive department of ITM Tanzania Limited, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with regulations. Based in Bagamoyo with operations linked to Dar es Salaam, the role contributes to timely financial reporting for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations.
• Record and file all financial transactions accurately.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
• Track receivables and ensure timely collections.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Manage funds and identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or ACCA certification preferred, or in progress.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or ERP systems.
