System Admin – M-PESA Applications Support

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a System Administrator to provide end‑to‑end operational support for the M‑PESA mobile money platform and its digital channels. You will ensure the app runs smoothly on Android and iOS, resolve user issues, and collaborate with development teams to deliver a seamless mobile money experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the M‑PESA core system and mobile applications.
• Track performance, availability, and crash analytics using Firebase or similar tools.
• Investigate and resolve user‑reported issues, crashes, and bugs promptly.
• Execute incident, problem, and change management processes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain system security and business continuity measures.
• Support mini‑app development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Provide product support for all M‑PESA projects (MPA and local).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with Unix/Linux (RHEL, SUSE) and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, GaussDB, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with Android and iOS platforms, mobile app architecture, and APIs.
• Understanding of mobile security best practices and ability to work with key stakeholders.
• Experience or strong interest in mobile money platforms, especially M‑PESA, is a plus.
