Swahili Remote Consecutive Interpreter (On-Demand)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Swahili consecutive interpreter to provide on‑demand, over‑the‑phone interpretation services. This remote, independent‑contractor position supports a variety of client interactions, ensuring clear communication across language barriers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consecutive interpretation during phone calls, meetings, conferences, interviews, and other remote sessions.
• Listen attentively to the source language speaker and accurately convey the message in the target language after a brief pause.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Follow Reviver’s protocols, policies, and industry best practices as required by clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of professional interpretation experience or 3,000+ hours of active interpretation.
• Proficiency in at least two languages (source and target), including Swahili and English.
• Proof of English proficiency at a technical level on the ILR scale or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Mock Call assessment.
• Updated résumé demonstrating relevant interpretation experience.
• Clear criminal background check (English version).
• Technical setup: headset, stable internet connection, and laptop.
