Operating Room Registered Nurse (Full-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care throughout the pre‑operative, intra‑operative and post‑operative phases. The role involves applying the nursing process in a fast‑paced surgical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop goal‑directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses.
• Deliver coordinated nursing care during surgeries, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Prioritize patient needs and manage resources such as time, personnel, equipment and supplies.
• Respond efficiently to emergency situations, following established protocols and documenting events.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and adhere to hospital policies, including patient rights.
• Participate in mandatory in‑service training, staff meetings and continuous education.

Required profile

• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
• Minimum two years of operating‑room nursing experience.
• Strong organizational skills for a fast‑paced OR environment.
