Senior Risk Control Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Risk Control Specialist to lead the design, implementation and monitoring of key risk controls across our fintech operations. The role ensures that PalmPay operates within its risk appetite, meets regulatory requirements and continuously strengthens its control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify current and emerging operational, credit, market, liquidity, technology, regulatory and fraud risks across business units, products and processes.
• Lead Risk & Control Self‑Assessments (RCSAs) for new products, services or business lines and maintain risk registers, KRIs and KCIs.
• Design, recommend and embed preventive, detective and corrective controls; monitor their effectiveness through testing and reporting.
• Prepare regular risk and control reports for senior management, risk committees and regulators; support internal and external audit examinations.
• Promote a strong risk culture by delivering training, raising awareness and advising stakeholders on regulatory changes and control enhancements.
• Participate in strategic initiatives such as new product launches, digital transformation and process automation to improve control efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Risk Management or a related field; Master’s or professional qualification (FRM, CFA, CISA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in risk identification, assessment and control within banking or fintech environments.
• Proven ability to conduct root‑cause analysis, develop remediation action plans and track progress.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with product, operations, IT, compliance and risk teams.
