Refrigeration Technician – Cooler Installation & Service

About the role

The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing branded coolers across retail outlets, supermarkets, restaurants, and bars. This field‑based position requires frequent travel to customer sites and close interaction with store staff and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial coolers, performing preventive maintenance such as cleaning, part replacement, and refrigerant checks.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including compressors, fans, thermostats, and wiring.
• Track and log service performance, history, and repair data using service software or job sheets.
• Maintain accurate records of spare part usage and manage inventory of tools and parts.
• Educate store personnel on proper cooler use and basic maintenance.
• Coordinate with sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely part requisition and efficient cooler placement.
• Adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience servicing commercial refrigeration units, preferably branded coolers.
• Ability to work independently and manage a route covering multiple service locations.
• Physically fit, able to lift and move heavy equipment, and comfortable working in cold environments.
• Availability for on‑call service during peak seasons or urgent requests.
