The company is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Africa Cluster, overseeing multi‑country operations across the region. This high‑impact executive position is responsible for driving commercial performance, strategic growth, and operational excellence within a diverse energy portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and align multi‑country operations across Africa to meet regional and global objectives.
• Take full accountability for commercial performance, growth, and profitability of the cluster.
• Drive execution of strategic initiatives such as expansion, optimisation, and business transformation.
• Build and lead high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary teams in diverse markets.
• Develop and manage relationships with government stakeholders, regulators, and strategic partners.
• Identify and unlock new growth opportunities, including market entry, partnerships, and adjacent revenue streams.
• Ensure strong governance, risk management, and operational discipline across all markets.
• Contribute as a key member of the regional leadership team to broader business strategy and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Senior executive with a proven track record of delivering impact in complex, multi‑country environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of performance across multiple markets with clear accountability for growth and results.
• Experience operating in challenging or evolving environments, capable of stabilising, optimising, and scaling operations.
• Strong exposure to the energy sector, understanding both current market dynamics and the transition landscape.
• History of leading large, geographically dispersed teams and driving alignment.
• Highly commercial and outcome‑focused with a reputation for measurable results.
• Comfortable engaging with senior government entities, partners, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience across Africa or similar markets, with the ability to navigate complexity and unlock opportunity.
