Purchase Specialist – Procurement for Manufacturing

About the role

The Purchase Specialist will manage procurement activities for our factory, ensuring timely sourcing, cost efficiency, and reliable supplier performance. This role supports production, warehouse and finance teams to keep the supply chain running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse purchasing requirements, conduct supplier inquiries, compare prices and prepare purchase orders.
• Follow up on orders to guarantee on‑time delivery and resolve any supply issues.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, continuously optimizing the supplier base for quality, cost‑effectiveness and stability.
• Track procurement progress, including delivery schedules, quantities and exceptions, and coordinate follow‑up actions.
• Manage procurement documentation such as contracts, records and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with production, warehouse and finance departments to improve procurement efficiency.
• Support overall factory operations by handling general purchasing tasks and completing additional assignments as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and supplier‑management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and willingness to work at the factory location in Misugusugu.
