Lodge Manager – Luxury Safari Lodge

About the role

&Beyond is seeking an experienced manager to lead Grumeti River Lodge, a 5‑star boutique safari lodge in Tanzania. The role oversees all aspects of operations, guest experience, finance, staff development and sustainability initiatives while living on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Overall management of the lodge including operations, guest experience, maintenance & repairs, kitchen and financial performance.
• Develop and control budgets and forecasts in partnership with the Lodge Administrator and Regional Finance Manager.
• Lead human‑capital planning, recruitment, training and staff development for senior and junior teams.
• Oversee infrastructure projects, CAPEX programmes and IT maintenance.
• Manage security, emergency response, healthcare facilities and environmental health (waste, sanitation, pest control).
• Coordinate with local, regional and national government for licensing and permits.
• Partner with Wild Impact on conservation and community projects and drive sustainability targets.
• Ensure risk assessments are up‑to‑date and lodge marketing on social media platforms is maintained.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years management experience in a 5‑star boutique hospitality operation, preferably lodge or camp management.
• Hospitality and service training background.
• Fluent English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to travel between camps and lodges as needed.
