Finance Head - Africa

About the role

The Finance Head – Africa provides financial stewardship for all African operations, overseeing budgeting, reporting, risk management and strategic analysis across multiple countries. This senior position partners with business leaders to drive value creation and support informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Set the strategic financial direction for the Africa region and lead a high‑performing finance team.
• Provide comprehensive analysis of regional financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Develop and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Prepare monthly management packs and key performance indicator reports.
• Drive period‑end financial reporting and ensure accurate cost accounting.
• Monitor regulatory environment, manage FOREX risk, taxation and compliance issues.
• Maintain internal controls, oversee internal and external audit processes, and manage the risk register.
• Collaborate with the EWIT team on budgeting, accounting and reporting for Tanzania and other African markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance functions in multi‑country or regional settings.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, risk and audit activities.
