Fabrication Plant Engineer

About the role

The Fabrication Plant Engineer will oversee daily shop‑floor activities in a fast‑growing prefabricated steel structures company. You will ensure that all fabrication work follows approved drawings, quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure welding procedures (WPS, WPQ) and approved welding standards are strictly followed.
• Coordinate dimensional inspections before dispatch and manage traceability documentation with QA/QC.
• Verify weld identification, welder traceability, and support NDT activities and NCR corrective actions.
• Maintain member marking throughout fabrication and record status from cutting to dispatch.
• Allocate work among fabrication teams and synchronize production sequences with supervisors.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5–8 years of experience in structural steel fabrication.
• 2–3 years of experience supervising workshop or shop‑floor operations.
• Strong knowledge of Tekla drawings, fabrication processes, welding standards, AISC, MBMA, ASTM, ISO 9001, and OSHA.
