Executive Chef – Luxury Lodge

About the role

The Executive Chef will lead the culinary team at a luxury lodge, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. This role combines creative menu development with rigorous kitchen management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and elevate food standards for guests and staff.
• Implement kitchen standards and conduct regular inspections of staff kitchens and canteens.
• Develop, train, and mentor chefs and kitchen staff, supporting career progression.
• Manage administrative duties such as staff files, scheduling, and hygiene compliance.
• Create seasonal menus aligned with guest preferences and lodge identity.
• Oversee stock control, ordering, rotation, and equipment maintenance.
• Communicate regularly with chefs, department heads, lodge manager, and suppliers.
• Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen are checked for quality and dietary requirements.
• Engage with guests to gather feedback and personalize the dining experience.

Required profile

• Formal culinary qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience, preferably in a 5‑star operation.
• Ability to work under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.
• Guest‑focused mindset, positive attitude, and strong teamwork orientation.
