ZEC Operations Manager

About the role

The ZEC Operations Manager will lead the start‑up of the new ZEC facility, overseeing project management, equipment procurement and the establishment of the management system. The role focuses on delivering the reverse‑engineering backlog and generating significant savings in maintenance and change‑part budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the start‑up of the ZEC, managing construction of facilities and procurement of machines, 3D scanning, CAD/CAM design capability and related hardware.
• Build the team’s strategy and product‑portfolio roadmap with stakeholders and partners (breweries, ZBS, Zitec, SAZ/APAC zones & suppliers).
• Facilitate feasibility analysis with stakeholders.
• Support the team by reviewing and managing project budgets.
• Refine the product or project backlog.
• Monitor project development, product delivery and financial costing.
• Ensure effective communication between the ZEC team and other areas.
• Plan, organize, coordinate resources and KPIs to ensure efficient work and project delivery.
• Provide input into short‑, medium‑ and long‑term ZEC strategy.

Required profile

• Works quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Manages multiple projects across sites with clear delegation and decision‑making.
• Process‑oriented, assertive and adheres to proven safety practices.
• Bias for action based on logical problem solving.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the brewing/packaging industry.
• Proven experience in reverse engineering and fabrication shop management.
• Practical experience with 3D scanning, CAD/CAM design, machining (lathes, CNC) and 3D printing.
