Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Sandvik Mining & Construction Tanzania Limited is seeking a dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to manage site operations at one of its customer locations. The role focuses on supervising warehouse activities, coordinating staff, and ensuring efficient inventory handling within a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise periodic cycle counts and report on material levels.
• Ensure accurate receipt, inspection, and recording of spares and tools.
• Conduct audits for damages, incorrect items, and shipment variances.
• Maintain correct bin locations and oversee receipt, storage, and shipment processes.
• Coordinate stock movements, including receiving, dispatching, and returns.
• Support customer productivity by delivering parts and consumables on time.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on inventory control improvement activities.
• Report to the Warehouse Operations Manager and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience supervising general warehouse operations and staff.
• Strong understanding of inventory recording and VMI processes.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external customers.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
