Technical Sales Representative – Tanzania

About the role

We are seeking a technically‑oriented Technical Sales Representative to join Ideal Inks & Coatings Ltd’s Tanzania team. Based in Dar es Salaam, you will drive new business and nurture existing accounts within the printing and packaging sector across East Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the printing and packaging industry.
• Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through regular visits and relationship management.
• Conduct product trials, technical evaluations and demonstrations in collaboration with the technical team.
• Follow up on quotations, samples and sales opportunities to convert them into orders.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve monthly sales targets.
• Serve as the primary commercial and technical contact for customers.
• Coordinate with Production, QC, Logistics and Finance to ensure timely service and collections.
• Record customer interactions, pipeline and sales data in ERP and CRM systems.
• Provide regular sales activity, pipeline and market intelligence reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of B2B sales experience.
• Experience in inks, coatings, chemicals, printing, packaging or manufacturing is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Self‑driven, organized and results‑oriented.
