Team Lead, Fixed Income & Trader

About the role

The Team Lead, Fixed Income & Trader will drive the bank's fixed income and trading activities, enhancing profitability and market presence across interbank, foreign exchange, and derivatives markets. The role combines portfolio management, product development, and market analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and control the unit budget, ensuring alignment with the business plan.
• Prepare and circulate daily exchange‑rate sheets to branches and enforce trading strategies.
• Trade profitably in designated currencies, fixed‑income products, FX, and derivatives within approved limits.
• Manage the fixed‑income portfolio, including Treasury bills, bonds and inter‑bank securities.
• Negotiate and execute FOREX, swaps, forwards and other funds‑management products with correspondent banks.
• Generate daily market reports on international FX and fixed‑income markets and provide insights to senior management.
• Monitor global macro‑economic trends and their impact on fixed‑income and FX markets.
• Coach and mentor subordinates, appraise performance, and support cross‑functional training.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fixed‑income and FX trading within a banking environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret market movements and macro‑economic data.
• Leadership experience managing a team of traders and analysts.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and client interaction.
