Special Task Project Driver – ITN Distribution (2‑month contract)

About the role

The Special Task Project Driver will support the RISE malaria‑control project during a two‑month Targeted Mass Campaign (June‑July 2026) in Lindi Region, Tanzania. Reporting to the Senior Program Officer, the driver will provide dedicated transport, logistics coordination, and assistance with Insecticide‑Treated Net (ITN) receipt, verification and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in receipt, counting, verification, loading, unloading and documentation of ITNs during campaign activities.
• Transport staff, partners and authorized passengers to campaign sites in Lindi Region.
• Plan routes, support deployment schedules and ensure timely movement of campaign materials.
• Operate and maintain the assigned project vehicle, keeping it clean, safe and roadworthy.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks, report mechanical issues, accidents or incidents promptly.
• Maintain accurate mileage, fuel consumption records and submit required reports.
• Safeguard ITNs and campaign assets while in transit and report any discrepancies.

Required profile

• Valid Tanzanian driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating motor vehicles in field conditions.
• Ability to follow Jhpiego motor vehicle policies and Tanzania Road Traffic Act.
• Attention to detail for documentation and inventory verification.
• Willingness to work onsite in Lindi Region for the full two‑month campaign period.
