Service Engineer – Equipment Maintenance & Repair

About the role

The Service Engineer will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of SANY construction and heavy‑equipment across Tanzania and neighboring countries. You will respond quickly to customer service requests and breakdown calls, ensuring equipment uptime while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on SANY machinery.
• Diagnose faults in diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and provide on‑site technical support.
• Travel extensively to client sites in Tanzania and surrounding regions.
• Ensure all service activities comply with company safety procedures.
• Work overtime and in remote project locations as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Mechatronics engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Familiarity with SANY equipment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical components.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work independently or within a team.
