Senior HR Manager

About the role

The client, a leading beverage manufacturer in Tanzania, is looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager to shape people strategy, drive performance and support business growth. This senior role will lead the HR function, ensuring the organization attracts, develops and retains top talent while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee performance management, employee engagement, learning and development programs.
• Provide strategic guidance on organisational development and change management.
• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labour laws, company policies and HR best practices.
• Design, review and maintain HR policies, procedures, compensation and benefits programmes.
• Lead initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, diversity, inclusion and a positive workplace culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role.
• Proven experience in talent management, organisational development and performance management.
• Membership in a recognised professional HR body is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour legislation.

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Office applications.
