Sales Executive (Passenger Cars)

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited in the automobile industry is looking for a Sales Executive to promote and sell commercial and passenger vehicles through showroom and field sales. The role covers customer engagement, demonstrations and test drives, deal negotiation and closing sales. Candidates should be confident, presentable, target-driven and strong communicators who can work independently within a high-performance sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell vehicles through showroom walk-ins, referrals and field sales
• Engage customers with accurate information on specifications, pricing, financing, warranties and after-sales services
• Conduct demonstrations and test drives
• Prepare quotations, proposals and contracts, and close sales
• Keep up to date on models, stock, promotions and market trends
• Generate leads, manage the sales pipeline and follow up customers
• Coordinate with marketing, finance, logistics and after-sales teams
• Maintain customer records and reports in CRM systems
• Build long-term relationships and take part in roadshows, exhibitions and promotional campaigns

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
• Proven automotive sales experience, preferably in car dealerships or commercial vehicle sales
• Experience with Hyundai or Mahindra brands is an added advantage
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; presentable and customer-focused
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Good understanding of automotive products, financing and sales processes
• Self-driven, performance-oriented and able to meet sales targets
• Valid driving licence is an added advantage
