Project Officer – Melitta Project

About the role

Plan International is seeking a Project Officer to support the implementation of the Melitta Project in Tanzania. Working closely with the Project Coordinator, you will help ensure that project activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Coordinator in developing detailed project plans and timelines.
• Monitor progress, track milestones, and report on budget performance.
• Provide logistical and administrative support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders, organize workshops and meetings, and maintain accurate project records.
• Prepare reports and documentation for performance tracking and donor reporting.
• Support implementing partners in district offices, ensuring quality assurance and M&E oversight.
• Identify and engage input suppliers and private‑sector partners in the coffee value chain in Tarime, Mara.

Required profile

• Commitment to Plan International’s safeguarding, gender equality, inclusion and diversity standards.
• Experience supporting project coordination in development or humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners, donors and internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
