Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will lead daily print operations at Print Plus Media Ltd, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, on schedule, and within budget. This full‑time, on‑site position in Tanzania coordinates production planning, resource allocation, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage production schedules for offset, digital, large‑format, and screen‑printing jobs.
• Allocate staff, equipment, and materials to optimise workflow and minimise waste.
• Supervise and coach production teams, enforcing safety, quality, and performance standards.
• Monitor equipment performance, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain inventory of inks, substrates, and consumables, and oversee procurement.
• Generate regular reports on production KPIs and support strategic decision‑making.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in print production management, including scheduling and workflow planning across multiple printing technologies.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of supervising production staff and fostering a safe, inclusive work environment.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management, and detail‑orientation skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration with design, sales, and customer‑service teams.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Tanzania and adapt to shifting priorities.
