About the role

The Production Geologist will support Barrick’s Africa Middle East mining operations by delivering accurate geological data and models that drive daily production planning and long‑term resource management. You will work closely with mining engineers, resource teams and field crews to ensure geological inputs are integrated into mining instructions and operational decisions.

• Maintain and update lithological, alteration, mineralisation and structural 3D models in Vulcan/Leapfrog on a daily basis.
• Load and adjust stope shapes and development cuts in Vulcan before drilling and blasting cycles.
• Prepare timely stope and closure notes, mining instructions and highlight all geological inputs.
• Support the resource team with block model updates, including depletion shapes.
• Supervise ore flow from underground workings to portals and ROM pads, and conduct periodic truck factor tests.
• Produce daily, weekly, monthly and annual production/compliance reports.
• Participate in training and development of geologists, geological technicians and assistants.
