Part‑time IT Support Technician (On‑site)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time, on‑site IT Support Technician to join our team in Mbeya, Tanzania. The role focuses on delivering day‑to‑day technical assistance for desktops, laptops and related peripherals, ensuring smooth operation of our IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support to end‑users, handling hardware and software incidents.
• Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware faults, software errors and network‑connected printer issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and computer repairs to minimise downtime.
• Log service requests, document incidents and resolutions, and escalate complex problems when needed.
• Collaborate with the IT team to sustain reliable IT operations and high‑quality customer service.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical support with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Practical knowledge of desktop computers, laptops and peripheral devices.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to work on‑site.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are highly desirable.
