Operations Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an energetic Operations Supervisor to lead our hotel team in Stone Town, Zanzibar. Reporting to the General Manager, you will own your shift, ensure seamless guest experiences, and drive operational excellence across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hotel operations during assigned shifts, coordinating Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other teams.
• Maintain a visible presence with guests, taking ownership of their experience.
• Conduct shift briefings, operational checks, and smooth handovers.
• Coach and support staff to deliver exceptional service.
• Resolve operational and guest issues promptly and professionally.
• Uphold standards of service, presentation, safety, and operational readiness.
• Act as the operational leader on duty when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in hotel or hospitality operations.
• Previous supervisory or Duty Manager experience.
• Strong understanding of Front Office, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage operations.
• Experience in an upscale, boutique or full‑service hotel is an advantage.
• Confident, energetic and guest‑focused leadership style.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and team coordination skills.
