MIS Manager (Information Systems Management)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics Tanzania Limited (AGL), a leading logistics and transport operator in Tanzania with 300 employees, is looking for an MIS Manager in Dar es Salaam. The role leads and improves the IT function across AGL Tanzania and designated local entities, covering infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, business continuity, vendor management and user support, in line with Group IT standards and local requirements. It is a full-time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual IT roadmap aligned with business priorities and Group IT strategy
• Ensure compliance with Group cybersecurity standards, IT policies and delegated authorities
• Prepare quarterly IT performance, risk and investment updates
• Keep IT infrastructure and business-critical systems available, reliable and performing
• Manage networks, internet connectivity, servers, cloud platforms, backups and telecommunications
• Support compliance with data privacy, information security and cybersecurity requirements
• Establish and monitor IT support service levels and resolve incidents and requests promptly
• Improve the end-user experience through clear support processes and communication
• Lead implementation of business applications and approved IT projects
• Manage relationships with telecom providers, software vendors, hardware suppliers and IT service partners
• Build a customer-focused IT culture and collaborate between business teams, local IT, Regional IT and Group IT
• Prioritise IT support and project resources by business criticality

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering) is an advantage
• More than 10 years of experience in a related field, with at least 5 years at management level
• Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, CompTIA Security+, CISSP or PMP are advantageous
