Logistics Internship – Supply Chain Support

About the role

Sandvik Mining & Construction Tanzania Ltd is offering a fixed‑term internship in Mwanza for a motivated individual to support its supply chain and logistics functions. The role provides hands‑on exposure to procurement, inventory control, warehousing and transportation processes within a global mining equipment leader.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and record stock movements.
• Assist with purchase requisitions, supplier follow‑ups and order tracking.
• Support logistics activities, including coordination of deliveries and shipment status updates.
• Participate in warehouse operations such as receiving, issuing, and stock reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate supply‑chain records, reports and documentation.
• Help analyse data and prepare performance reports for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree or diploma program in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
