About the role
The Laundry Manager will lead all laundry operations at our Zanzibar City facility, ensuring high‑quality service for linens, uniforms and other textiles. This full‑time, on‑site position reports directly to senior management and works closely with other departments to meet internal and guest needs.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee receiving, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding and distribution of all textiles.
- Plan work schedules, assign tasks and monitor team productivity and quality standards.
- Manage laundry inventory, track supplies and control operating costs.
- Coordinate routine maintenance of laundry equipment and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Handle internal and guest requests, resolve service issues promptly and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Support budget planning, cost‑control initiatives and waste‑reduction strategies.
Required profile
- Proven experience in high‑volume laundry operations and supervisory roles.
- Strong organizational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
- Ability to work on‑site in Zanzibar City and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality, housekeeping or operations management is a plus.
