Junior Technical Officer

About the role

The Junior Technical Officer role offers a hands‑on entry point into a variety of engineering and technical functions within Masika Ventures. You will rotate across mechanical and electrical engineering, operations, quality assurance and process improvement, gaining practical experience while supporting the portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in mechanical and electrical projects, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support daily operations by monitoring equipment performance and reporting issues.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, helping to document procedures and conduct inspections.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives by collecting data and suggesting efficiency gains.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Masika Ventures’ portfolio companies.

Required profile

• Resourceful and quick‑learning individual with a strong interest in engineering.
• Eager to take on diverse tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Open to learning on the job; prior professional experience is not mandatory.
