House Manager

About the role

The House Manager will be based in Zanzibar City and will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a luxury household. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that the residence runs smoothly, maintains high standards of service and provides a comfortable environment for residents and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all household staff, including scheduling, performance monitoring and training.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing resident needs promptly and proactively.
• Assist with meal preparation and basic cooking duties as required.
• Serve as the primary communication link between staff and residents, handling inquiries and resolving issues.
• Organise household schedules, events and maintenance activities to ensure seamless operation.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience with the ability to manage teams effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, service‑oriented attitude.
• Experience in staff training and maintaining performance standards.
• Attention to detail, strong organisational abilities and capacity to multitask.
• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic luxury environment.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
