Head of Sales (Dar es Salaam)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Sales to lead our sales organisation in Dar es Salaam. You will be responsible for driving growth of our premium alcohol and beer portfolio across Tanzania, working closely with the broader Diageo and Serengeti Breweries teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the trade coverage plan for the division.
• Contribute to the overall sales and business strategy and ensure its seamless implementation at point‑of‑sale.
• Manage trade programme development and implementation for different customer segments.
• Lead the market SOP process, embed outcomes into the national SOP and build a bottom‑up SOP system.
• Ensure trading terms and conditions are adhered to by all EABL customers.
• Oversee the downstream supply chain to achieve targets for availability, visibility, volume, margin, quality and consumer price.
• Maintain compliance with EABL marketing standards and corporate guidelines.
• Train and motivate the trade area team to deliver superior trade‑marketing and distribution services.
• Set goals and KPIs for direct reports and monitor performance.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in sales, trade or commercial functions within the beverage or consumer goods sector.
• Strong understanding of trade marketing, distribution and supply‑chain dynamics.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans at the point‑of‑sale.
• Excellent analytical and results‑driven mindset.
