Head of Corporate Communications

About the role

The Head of Corporate Communications is responsible for shaping and safeguarding the organisation's reputation across media, government, investors, partners and the public. Reporting to the External Affairs Director and working closely with the CEO and senior leadership, this role leads a multidisciplinary team covering corporate PR, external affairs, executive communications and crisis management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the annual communications strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Manage corporate narrative, key messages and brand voice across all owned and earned channels.
• Oversee press relations, proactive storytelling, reactive media handling and journalist relationships.
• Lead executive communications, including CEO speeches, op‑eds and thought‑leadership pieces.
• Direct content creation for website, social media, corporate reports, annual report and investor presentations.
• Design communications programmes around social impact, community investment and charitable partnerships.
• Identify reputational risks, run early‑warning monitoring and lead crisis‑communication planning and response.
• Build and manage a high‑performing communications team, agencies and external partners.
• Set KPIs, report outcomes to the board and manage the communications budget with ROI accountability.

Required profile

• University degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, business administration, political science or a related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, media relations and crisis management.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and act as a trusted advisor.
• Strong stakeholder relationship capital and executive presence.
