Graphic Designer – Digital Democracy Hub

About the role

JamiiAfrica is seeking two creative Graphic Designers to join its Digital Democracy Hub. In this role you will translate complex civic and policy concepts into compelling visual stories that engage citizens across digital and print platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design digital and print assets such as infographics, reports, social media graphics, posters, animations, presentations and publications.
• Convert policy, governance and civic‑education material into clear, visually engaging designs.
• Collaborate with content managers, digital advocacy teams and program officers to ensure visual consistency across campaigns.
• Maintain JamiiAfrica’s visual identity and contribute to brand guidelines and template development.
• Stay current with design trends and tools relevant to civic engagement and digital democracy.
• Organise design files, archive assets and deliver creative work on schedule.

Required profile

• Passion for social change and experience in graphic design for NGOs or similar sectors.
• Certificate or proven experience in graphic design.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast‑paced multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding of digital media, social platforms and the role of visual content in citizen engagement.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Motion graphics, animation or video‑editing basics (preferred).
