Graduate Trainee Programme – 30‑Month Rotational in Mining

About the role

Sandvik Central Africa offers a 30‑month Graduate Trainee Programme designed for recent engineering graduates who want hands‑on experience in the mining sector. The programme rotates participants through all technical and service departments, providing mentorship from senior experts.

Key responsibilities

• Complete rotations across electrical, mechanical, industrial and service teams.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of heavy mining equipment.
• Support project teams with engineering analyses and problem‑solving.
• Participate in on‑site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Prepare reports and present findings to senior staff.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field, or a certificate/diploma in Automotive, Electrical, Mechanical or Heavy‑equipment repair.
• Graduated in 2024 or 2025.
• Maximum age of 26 years.
• Physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment.
• Residency in Mwanza, Ngara or nearby areas is strongly encouraged; female candidates are given priority.
