General Manager – Tanzania

About the role

We are looking for a senior General Manager to lead Capi’s commercial growth in Tanzania. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on execution, overseeing customer acquisition, revenue generation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the go‑to‑market strategy to meet transaction volume and revenue targets.
• Set sales and performance goals, monitor market dynamics and adjust positioning.
• Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities and customer segments aligned with Capi’s mission.
• Build, mentor and lead a cross‑functional team covering sales, account management and operations.
• Ensure operational excellence and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Act as the primary liaison between local customers, the team and global leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior commercial leadership, preferably in fintech or cross‑border payments.
• Strong track record of driving revenue growth and scaling teams in emerging markets.
• Data‑driven decision maker with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field with customers and partners.
