Field Intern – Community Agriculture & Nutrition

About the role

The Field Intern will support the implementation of the NOURISH Tanzania project at community level. Working closely with smallholder farmers, local leaders, extension officers and other stakeholders, the intern will help deliver agriculture and nutrition activities that promote climate‑smart practices and improve food security.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in community mobilisation and training sessions on climate‑smart agriculture and nutrition.
• Support the delivery of field activities, including demonstration plots and nutrition workshops.
• Monitor field progress, collect and enter data accurately, and document results.
• Facilitate linkages between farmers and project services, helping to strengthen outreach.
• Provide feedback to project staff on challenges and opportunities observed in the field.

Required profile

• One to two years of experience in the agriculture or nutrition sector.
• Hands‑on experience with community engagement and field support.
• Comfortable working in rural Tanzanian settings and travelling to remote locations.
• Good communication skills in English.
