About the role
We are seeking an experienced Director, People & Culture to lead the HR function across our hospitality properties in Tanzania. You will partner with operational leaders to build high‑performing teams, strengthen our culture, and ensure exceptional employee experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Lead recruitment, workforce planning and onboarding for all Tanzania hospitality sites.
- Partner with operations and department heads to enhance leadership capability and people performance.
- Manage employee relations, investigations and complex workplace matters while ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that reinforce our culture, values and employee experience.
- Oversee performance management, talent reviews, succession planning and leadership development.
- Supervise People & Culture operations, HR compliance, reporting and governance.
- Support organisational change, business improvement initiatives and implementation of Group People & Culture strategies.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Professional HR qualification (CHRP, CIPD, SHRM or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or Business Partner role.
- Experience within hospitality, tourism or multi‑site operations.
- Proven success leading employee relations, recruitment, performance management, organisational development and employee engagement initiatives.
- Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to align People & Culture initiatives with operational priorities.
