Compliance Manager (Tanzania)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to establish and maintain robust compliance systems for our operations in Tanzania. The role involves analysing local regulations, integrating controls into business processes, and fostering a culture of integrity across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse Tanzanian laws, regulations, policies and industry standards to develop compliance management plans.
• Collaborate with business units to embed compliance controls into processes and IT systems.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of contracts, agreements, business plans and other documents, providing clear, actionable opinions.
• Engage with government agencies, law firms, industry associations and key clients on compliance matters.
• Design and deliver training programs to raise compliance awareness among staff and third‑party partners.
• Manage compliance incidents, including regulatory inspections and enforcement actions.
• Support the operation and continuous improvement of the compliance management framework, covering risk management, crisis drills, inspections and knowledge management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.
• Solid understanding of basic legal concepts and compliance principles.
• Strong project‑management capabilities to oversee system implementation and tracking.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Fluency in English and basic Chinese writing ability.
