Communications Coordinator (Tanzania)

About the role

The Communications Coordinator will lead the execution of TREES Tanzania’s communications strategy, working closely with program teams and the regional Marketing & Communications team. This position ensures that internal and external messaging aligns with organisational priorities, donor requirements, and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor visibility, branding and public‑engagement initiatives for TREES Tanzania.
• Produce high‑quality communication materials, including written content, documentation, photography, videography, archiving and packaging of program stories.
• Coordinate media outreach, campaigns, events and other public‑facing activities to raise organisational visibility and stakeholder engagement.
• Act as the primary liaison between TREES Tanzania, media outlets, partners, donors and the public, ensuring consistent brand representation.
• Maintain an organized archive of content and disseminate best practices, success stories, lessons learned and impact narratives.

Required profile

• Legally authorised to work in Tanzania.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and report to senior management.
